What’s Right For You?

Most students who seek me out for voice lessons are musical theater, classical, or jazz singers who are interested in performing in their schools, local communities, or professionally in some way. If you’re new to music lessons, or need help with a bit of everything - voice lessons, music theory, style exploration, etc. - I offer weekly lessons as a musicianship course completely tailored to your specific needs.

Ages: Is your young student ready? Book a complementary consultation and I’ll be happy to give you my honest opinion. My lessons are designed to build tangible skills, but without regular practice, we can only go so far. We will have fun, but students must come prepared to learn. I teach students ages 13+ but make exceptions for younger students on a case-by-case basis.

01 — Voice Lessons

Developing singers is at the very heart of Gilead! Students recieve highly personalized training designed to give each person a deep understanding of their own voice both technically and artistically. Week by week, the singers work through old habits and limiting beliefs to find vocal freedom. We conquer self-doubt and prepare for performances with joy, whether it’s a school concert, open mic night, professional audition, or national tour!

02 — Audition Coaching

Need a new set of eyes on your material? I love helping signers polish their work and bring their talent front and center. Singers may ask us to focus on a particular area like diction, musicality, or presentation, and I’m best known for helping singers find dramatic clarity in their performance.

03 — Musicianship Course

First designed with singer-songwriters in mind, a musicianship course will help anyone build their musical toolkit. Together we’ll design a bespoke training course and work through weekly meetings to make sure you have the tools you need to achieve your unique goal. This may include basics in piano, sight reading, music theory, song structure, style, and more!

04 — 30 Minute Theory Rescue

As seen on social media, I offer 30-minute help sessions for singers who need help solving a specific musicianship problem. I’m available to help with theory questions, chord analysis, translations, and more.
